Serving the county town and surrounding East Sussex villages
Lewes is a town of listed buildings, steep hills and narrow streets, and that creates its own set of challenges when it comes to building work. Tight access, limited parking and conservation area restrictions mean you need an operator who can work efficiently in confined spaces. That's where Ady's grab crane comes in.
The hydraulic crane can reach over walls, fences and hedgerows to load and unload material without needing direct vehicle access to the site. It's the quickest, least disruptive way to move bulk material in and out of Lewes's older residential areas.
The ground around Lewes is mostly chalk, which is lighter than the Weald clay further north but still produces large volumes of spoil during excavation. At 16 tonnes per load, Ady can clear a typical domestic foundation dig in just a couple of trips.
As well as Lewes itself, Ady regularly works in Ringmer, Barcombe, Plumpton, Ditchling and Newhaven. The A275 and A27 make it a straightforward run from Balcombe, keeping travel costs low and turnaround times short.
